Robert Hays plays Bob
He has also appeared in; "Airplane" and "Airplane II : The Sequel" as Ted Striker; "Freezerburn" (2005); "Dr. T and the Women" (2000); "The Abduction" (1996); "Homeward Bound II : Lost In San Francisco" (1995); "Homeward Bound the Incredible Journey" (1993); "Fifty/Fifty" (1992); "Running Against Time" (1990); "Cat's Eye" (1985) (segment "The Ledge"); "Scandalous" (1984); "Touched" (1983); "Trenchcoat" (1983), "Take This Job and Shove It" (1981); The wonderful "Starman" (1986), TV Series: "Starman" as Paul Forrester and "Angie" (1979) as Brad Benson. Robert also directed a "Starman" episode and in a special TV presentation he played Lt. Doug Roberts in "Mister Roberts" (1984).

 

 

 


John Walcutt plays Frank

John is currently appearing in "Ghost Whisperer" as Wide Brim, and soon to be seen in "Driftwood" (2006) and "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006). He has also appeared in; "Seabiscuit" (2003); "Titanic" (1997); "Virtuosity" (1995) and a variety of TV shows such as: "Lost", "JAG" (recurring), "Judging Amy", "The Practice", "Cold Case", "The Guardian", "Nash Bridges", "ER", plus many, many more. He previously produced the Indy films; "Making Contact" (sold to BET, among others), "Sex and a Girl" (sold to Hallmark and Lifetime), and directed the upcoming feature "The Alpha Geek".

 

 

 


Andrew J. Traister : Director
"Nicky's Birthday Camera" is Andrew’s first feature film. He was the Line Producer, 1st AD on "The Alpha Geek", shot this past August in Los Angeles. Andrew directed The Actor’s Playpen's inaugural productions of "Lolita" and "Road to Nirvana" in Los Angeles. He has directed at The Old Globe, Alaska Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Actors Theatre of Phoenix, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Tacoma Actors Guild, Geva Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, San Diego Repertory Theatre and many others across the country. Some of the actors that Andrew has had the privilege of directing include Greg Itzin, John Walcutt, James Whitmore, Michael Lerned, Robert Foxworth, Hal Gould, J.D. Johnston, Ralph Waite, Betsy Palmer and Reed Diamond. He has taught at Cornish College of the Arts, California Institute of the Arts, SUNY Binghamton and SUNY Brockport. From 1987-89 Andrew was Artistic Director of Alaska Repertory Theatre. In 1980 Andrew was the recipient of an NEA Directing Fellowship.

 

CB Bissell : Cinematographer
Director of photography CB Bissell is pleased to say that this is the first of two films that he has done with the team of Andrew J. Traister and John Walcutt. Some of the other films that he has photographed are, "Couch Taters", "Pidgeon Cage", and "In Between Floors". CB has recently finished filming a short film in Italy called "Prego".

 


 

Jamie McShane plays Dave
Soon to be seen in; "Pride and Glory" (2007) as Lt. Fricker, "Mr. Brooks" (2007) as Sigy, and "Look" (2006) as Berry Krebbs. Other films include; "Gridiron Gang" (2006),
"Today You Die" (2005), "Hostage" (2005), "Breach" (2004), On TV Jamie has a recurring role on "The Nine", and has appeared in "Close to Home", "CSI Miami", "Criminal Minds", "Commander In Chief", "Las Vegas", "Cold Case", "The West Wing", "24", "Nip/Tuck", "Monk" and many more.

 

 



 

Sheri Hellard plays Catherine
Sheri is currently producing, directing and acting in "Staar". She has also directed "Mothers and Daughters" and "Jack and Jill". She has appeared in; "Shrink Rap" (2003), "Out of the Rain" (2003), "Mothers and Daughters" (2002), "Jack and Jill" (2000). On TV Sheri appeared in "Close to Home", "General Hospital", "Arrest and Trail", "These Old Broads", and "The Mary K. Latourneau Story".

 

 





James Molina plays James

James will soon be seen in "The Take" (2007), "Alpha Dog" (2006). James recurred on "Veronica Mars" as Thumper, also was seen on "ER", "Judging Amy", "CSI Miami". "Nicky's Birthday Camera" is James’ debut film.

 

 

 



 

Samantha Alarcon as Natalie
"Nicky's Birthday Camera" is Samantha’s first feature. She will soon be seen in "Urban Assault" (2006), "The Indian" (2006) and the TV Pilots; "Club Fiji" and "125th and Nowhere" with Jada Pinkett Smith.

 

 

 

Tanya Swerling : Editor
Tanya Swerling has been editing for television since 1997. Her work includes HBO's "Six Feet Under" and "Big Love", Disney's "Cinderella", and currently "Six Degrees" for ABC. Although television has been her bread and butter, she is passionate about independent filmmaking and looks forward to being a part of films like "Nicky's Birthday Camera" in the future.

 





Gregg Sarfaty : Composer

Gregg Sarfaty lead vocals and guitar with STEWBOSS, wrote "The Midnight Shift", which placed as finalist in the 2001 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Many singer/songwriters, including Gregg’s artistic peers, consider him one of the best songwriters they know.
